Given the reputation of the brand and the fact that a significant part of the portal's traffic was due to the Cosmopolitan articles, it was decided to create an independent site.

Relaunched in a single formula and completely new in terms of technical and editorial components, the Cosmopolitan.ro site marked an important step for online brand development, shifting from the presentation section of the magazine, integrated into www.femeia.ro portal, to an international brand extension online.

One of the biggest challenges in creating the new site was its design, which had to resonate with its target's preferences and the well-known brand image. Thus, to set a fresh and attractive design, including a complex editorial structure and filled with an interactive interface supported by video,specific blogs - beauty, fashion, sex - photo galleries and competitions which relies particularly on the involvement of users and content generated by them.

The editorial information is permanently up to date, daily updates to most of the sections and weekly updates on wider editorial materials, pictorials and quizzes.

Cosmopolitan.ro plans to become a reference site for the female audience with the objective of rising and being among the top 10 online profile publications. "Adina Vasilescu, New Media Publisher Sanoma Hearst Romania, said at the time of the launch.
