The two applications were designed and developed as extensions of the Xnet site and allowed communication from Xnet to customers, directly on their desktop.
Xnet Toolbar
Provided permanent access to Xnet services and support for search in 10 search engines. The application was free to download by Xnet users on the site and had classic functionalities like the Explorer Toolbar (search, links), coupled with several new ones:
- Direct links and search: Xnet.ro, webmail, features, news, Xnet users, connection statistics, contact link CS, help, privacy info, uninstall, install Xnet agent, configuration, change language (en | ro);
- Search box and the possibility to choose the search engine
- Information of the current site: page info, archive.org, Google page rank
- Send via email the current page to a friend
- Recommended sites - site of the day, sites.ro archive
- Whois search
- Support for Romanian and English.
Xnet Agent
Free application designed to give permanent access to your messages on your account webmail@xnet.ro and updates from Xnet. The kit was downloaded from the xnet site and offered:
- Direct links and search on Xnet.ro
- Promo messages from Xnet
- Data on traffic and dialup connection's current status
- Ability to read email from account @xnet.ro
- Support for Romanian and English.
In addition to client applications, the GreenPixel team also developed back-end applications for remote content management and as well as their security system.
