The first wireless Internet access service with broadband speed in Romania was NetZone, launched by Connex in 2002.
The service had a unique feature: it allowed users to access the Internet with speeds that reached 11 Mbps.
Connex NetZone was designed to meet the communication needs of business people who frequently use laptops and spend more time outside the office, in meetings and conferences. To receive NetZone Connex service, customers needed a laptop equipped with a wireless LAN card and a value card from Connex.
The service worked in areas covered by those radio frequencies, allowing users to move freely throughout the area. WLAN was configured as an open network to allow quick and easy access to information and applications.
What we achieved:
- Application analysis and user interface design
- Design and implementation for the public website (caption portal)
- Production and content insertion
- NetZone screens and functionalities design.
